We left Osaka this morning for Hiroshima. We are only here one night in a Ryokan(more on that later). Today we explored Miyajima. It was everything people told me it was. Beautiful, inspiring, calm and perfect. The Torii ⛩ gate was breathtaking. We got to see both low and high tide.
Itsukushima, also known as Miyajima
, is a small island in Hiroshima Bay, western Japan. It is known for its forests and ancient temples. Just offshore, the giant, orange Great Torii Gate is partially submerged at high tide. It marks the entrance to the Itsukushima Shrine, which was first built in the 12th century.

#AdventuresofJoanandDan Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
